Despite the use of inappropriate terminology (an ongoing issue with @NPR stations who continue to refuse to use easily obtainable style guides @GLAAD), @wnyc, thank you for publishing my photograph and for bringing a physician onto your show who supports the health of transgender individuals, Dr. Jennifer Conti (@doctorjenn). Jennifer did use appropriate terminology, in her responses, as I would expect, as a professional who provides care 🙂 .

This story actually appeared in July, 2017, I just got notification of it today. I’m posting to recognize the medical profession’s stance on this issue:
