Thanks for publishing my photo, DCist (@DCist). It’s of a beautiful display of my favorite flags at Town Danceboutique (@WhatsUpAtTown) last summer. I’m not sure if people who aren’t members of the LGBTQ community understand the significance of places like this – they provide safety, refuge, the ability to live in one’s true identity. The image of the flags on the wall say it all – visibility – in Washington, DC, the most inclusive city in the world.
