This week’s photograph was taken at the 2010 White House Easter Egg Roll , which had an emphasis this year on fitness and activities to support the First Lady’s Let’s Move initiative. This was the first warm bordering on hot day in the District, and fun to see children and their families enjoying the festivities.
After my visit, I made a donation to the Washington, DC chapter of Flashes of Hope, which, appropriate to the theme of photography, “changes the way children with cancer and other life threatening illnesses see themselves through the gift of photography and raises money for pediatric cancer research.”
