Thank you for using my photograph to illustrate this illuminating piece by @alon_levy, @DCPolicyCenter.
The photograph itself was taken several cameras ago in 2012, from Arlington, Virginia, facing Washington, DC.
I went back and saw what else I was capturing that day, which included a novel public art piece at Arlington’s Freedom Park, entitled “Spectrum of Freedom.”
Spectrum of Freedom was created by “270 Young People throughout Arlington” in 1997 – and 20 years ago we can still be impressed by what our youth are capable of understanding, and changing. If we are lucky, they will change everything.

You can see additional photos from Spectrum of Freedom here.
