This week’s photograph is taken from a brand new vantage point in Washington, DC, the Hepburn (@TheHepburnDC), at sunset.

You can see the mural completed in 2015 by the iconic DC muralist Aniekan Udofia (@sketch272000), called Touch the Sky.

Udofia’s latest is on a building with mostly senior tenants. MuralsDC sought to make these residents a focal point of the piece, project coordinator Nancee Lyons said.

“The goal of this wall is to speak to the seniors in our community. D.C. is listed as being one of the leading cities for millennials, but in all this talk about attracting millennials, many feel we are indirectly sending the message that older residents have no value,” Lyons said.

The project team decided that the best way to depict this idea is to show a connection between older residents and technology, Lyons explained. – via Washington Post, November 8, 2015.

Here’s a closer look at the mural from 2016’s #SnoWayOut:

Just beyond the mural is the iconic intersection, 14th and U Street, NW, where the future continues to be born, across generations, across populations.

Speaking of the future, we were at the Hepburn to appreciate the sponsors (including The Hepburn) of Capital Pride DC (@CapitalPrideDC), Capital Trans Pride (@TRansPrideDC). These events plus all Capital Pride Alliance activities continue to be beacon onto the rest of the United States for LGBTQ people, and all humans, in the capital of a world learning to ❤️ better 🙂 .

More photos below from the evening at the Hepburn, showing the new views of Washington. As usual, I can’t believe I get to live here.
