Thank you for publishing my photograph, Urban Turf (UrbanTurf_DC), in this report on migration patterns in our nation’s capital during the pandemic.

The photograph is a slightly over-exposed (on purpose) image of the “Paint the Town Colorful” event for Capital Pride DC (@CapitalPrideDC) this year.

I’m not entirely sure why this photograph was chosen to depict migration patterns in Washington, DC, especially since Capital Pride was quite full this year! See below.

Either way, the visible signs are that living is coming back to life – and of course I am capturing those images along the way.

Enjoy the photographs.

A new report released on Thursday sheds light on how many people left DC during the pandemic.
