For this week’s Photo Friday, I am remembering a photograph (or a few) I captured about a year ago in Washington, DC, June, 2020 to be exact.
There was no setup for this photo, I didn’t have my best camera or lens, I just saw what I saw and started snapping the shutter during an unplanned demonstration against the murder of George Floyd. We knew everyone in the photograph was risking their lives, and they did it anyway, and during a time when Washington, DC was starting to look like 1990 than 2020. That’s the power of the human spirit.
Now our expression is less likely to endanger our lives thanks to science. It should be no less meaningful.
