I admit this was a shocking scene when I turned the corner and saw it. It’s not downtown Washington, DC from 1984, it’s downtown Washington, DC, April 2020.
I think it’s important to post visuals of people doing physical distancing correctly, to demonstrate it’s value and the city norm. The data shows people are doing this.
At the same time, the economic impact is serious, we love our city, and we want to provide support during a difficult time.
