This photo was taken in front of the Supreme Court of the United States, in Washington, DC (of course), and I’m sharing it here on national coming out day.
What was remarkable about the moment this and additional photos were taken was that amidst the worry, fear, contention, counter-protesting going on, a group of faith-based leaders stepped forward and began singing, “we are not afraid.”
Indeed, the 20th Century ended a long time ago, and it’s not coming back.
Enjoy the photos, and celebrate the people in your life who are living as their authentic selves. Some days it’s hard to do this. It’s worth it every day.
