This week’s photograph is from Union Market (@UnionMarketDC) in Washington, DC USA (of course). It reminds me of a similar expression at the Congressional Cemetery, also in Washington, DC, which is distinguished for having the only known LGBTQ section in a cemetery, where this famous headstone is situated, near the grave of J. Edgar Hoover:

Washington, DC is filled with the stories and lives of people who weren’t afforded the opportunity to control their health and life destinies because of who they are. It’s also filled with the creativity of the same humans, making their mark every day.

It’s why I say in the last century they used to say this about another State in the United States. In this century, it’s As DC Goes, So Goes the Nation.

Speaking of health and life destinies, I also captured images of metabolic health in my low-carbohydrate, real-er food meal, because this is a place where we value data over dogma, future born here every day. Enjoy the photos.
