I’ll be posting a lot of photographs in the next few days, of the people and places in Washington, DC’s annual Capital Pride (@CapitalPrideDC) celebration.
It’s a truth for me that there is nowhere else in the United States for me where the camera is out. In every other city, it sits in my bag, unused. I am drawn to the future, which is what happens here every day.
Speaking of the future, this year’s parade had an unprecedented level of inclusion of LGBTQ communities, especially people in transgender communities.
I’ve been taught that it’s not about being “right,” it’s about getting the results you want. In this case, both happened, and why wouldn’t they. Love always wins. And we were right.
Enjoy the photos. All are Creative Commons licensed as usual.
