Thanks again for using my photograph, @DCPolicyCenter, in this piece written by @DavidBrunori about proposed property tax policy changes.

As usual, I learned more about my photograph after it was taken. As the analysis mentions, public goods such as transportation can be funded many different ways, and they ways they happen have different impacts. It’s a good read.

The photograph, by the way, was taken from the heights of the U Street neighborhood, in Washington, DC, showing new development in the Shaw neighborhood, with the Library of Congress and the Capitol in the background.
