“Every year we have the opportunity to spotlight queer women who are making moves in their business and/or communities. This year is no different. On March 15, we will celebrate eight diverse women making a difference in LGBTQ Community.”2018 @TaggMagazine Enterprising Women

This year’s reception included an unanticipated and very welcome addition – students from Suffolk University in Washington, DC on Alternative Spring Break, which I didn’t know about until now:

The Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program began in 2000 with 12 students who engaged in meaningful service during their spring break week. Last year, over 130 students participated in eleven trips at various sites across the United States. During ASB, Suffolk students dedicate their spring break week to join communities across the country in addressing critical issues such as affordable housing and poverty, environmental protection, LGBTQ rights, and youth mentorship.Alternative Spring Break – Suffolk University

In a world that’s still learning to ❤️ better, I like alternatives, and people from the future.
