As the title of the post says – I had the privilege to meet Delegate Elect Danica Roem (@pwcdanica) again. The first time was almost a year ago and then again over the summer.

Like those first two times, she was working harder than ever this was her third event of the day, on a Saturday night, in 10 degree weather, far from her home in Manassas, Va (in comparison, I walked 2 blocks to get there).

When we asked about her schedule, she told us about the letters she receives from transgender youth who now feel more comfortable being who they are. On stage she told us she’s going to work to make government boring again πŸ˜ƒ .

I ❀️ change, & I ❀️ the future. ❀️ always wins.

She was joined by other community leaders including Peter Fosselman (@PeteForMoco), who the event was for, former Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley (@MartinOMalley), Washington, DC Police Sgt Jessica Hawkins (@DCPoliceDept), Bianca Rey (@BiancaRey) Chair of Capital Transpride (@TransPrideDC).
