Thanks for publishing my photo @DCist. It points to the recent release of state level data from the 2015 US Trans Survey.

Washington DC’s State Report is out. Others are coming.

35% of respondents experienced a problem in the past year with their insurance related to being transgender, such as being denied coverage for care related to gender transition or being denied coverage for routine care because they were transgender.

The photgraph itself was taken at 2017’s Capital TransPride, which was hugely successful (see: Because Life is Amazing and We Can: My 5th Capital TransPride ). In a place that is the most welcoming by policy in the United States to all humans, we can always improve.
