Thanks for publishing my photo, Global Citizen (@GlblCtzn). It’s of Andrea Jenkins (@AndreaForWard8), who, as the title of the article says, may be the highest elected trans woman of color in America.
I was able to see Andrea speak, the day after Capital TransPride in Washington, DC. I admit, I am not a champagne brunch type of person (we are all ultimately misfits); however when Andrea and Danica Roem got up to describe their goals as future elected officials, I was instantly interested and impressed.
Nothing makes a physician happier than seeing people in control of their own destiny 🙂 .
