Thanks again for publishing my photo DCist (@DCist) it’s of Eleanor Holmes Norton, our Delegate to the US Congress. I remember while taking this how much energy Representative Norton brought to the defense of District residents rights to die with dignity. Right after she spoke, she was escorted to the committee hearing where she would defend us (and while the vote did not go in our favor, the District eventually won) by one of her aides – I wish I had captured that image, it was sweet. Nearly everywhere else in the U.S., federal district court judges, and U.S. attorneys and marshals must live where they’ve been appointed,but not in the District.
