This week’s photograph was taken outside the iconic Ben’s Chili Bowl, on U Street at sunset, officially in the Shaw neighborhood.
A recent analysis of this part of Washington, DC by Tracy Hadden Loh, PhD (@busysparrow) showed this as both walkable and equitable (and still with important challenges). What’s not to love.

Hello Dr. Eytan. I was wondering if I might be able to use one of your wonderful photos (the one of U Street with Ben’s Chili Bowl in the lower right hand corner) on a website I’m helping to put together for a non-profit organization I’m part of, the Contemporary Freudian Society. Here’s our current site if you want to check out what we do. https://contemporaryfreudiansociety.org/
Thanks!
Mike Krass
Michael,
Feel free to use in good health,
Ted
