This week’s photograph was taken from the classroom of the Kaiser Permanente Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School (@HarvardHBS @HBSExecEd), where our classmates indulged us in the showing the launch of 2015 USAChangeDay (@USAChangeDay) during a planned break in our learning.

The introduction was made with my Labor Management Partnership (@LMPTalk) partners Simone Zimmer (@SimoneMarie127) and John Kolodny (@jkolodny8).

USA Change Day is modeled after the incredible innovation of a similar name at the National Health Service (@NHSChangeDay). The purpose of USA Change Day is to inspire EVERYONE who is part of healthcare in the United States to publicly pledge one change (big or small) that they can do to make health/healthcare better.

For me, Change Day is the perfect complement to all the learning and reflection I have been engaged in over the last two weeks in the program. Speaking of the partnership, one of the many things I learned about Kaiser Permanente was the uniqueness of our partnership with labor unions. There are few if any precedents for labor unions working with company management to improve quality, support growth, and maintain affordability. I believe there are none in health care, besides Kaiser Permanente.

More photos as well as the short video we showed the class below. My Change Day pledge is already on the site. Change Day starts March 11, 2015 and runs for 100 days. Go ahead, make yours!
