Community Partner Awards: Transgender Law Center honors Kaiser Permanente Clinicians

Drs. Judy Lively, Jennifer Slovis, and Susanne Watson received Community Partner awards at the Transgender Law Center (TLC)’s annual gala in San Francisco on October 3, 2013. Three other awards were given to community activists that evening. By giving the Partner award to providers, TLC is highlighting the fact that these Kaiser Permanente clinicians have taken the lead, leveling tough barriers traditionally faced by patients on the transgender spectrum who need care and support.- Alix Sabin and Kirk Kleinschmidt, Co-Chairs, KP Pride

Kaiser Permanente Community & Government Relations department for Northern California sponsored the event and the Transgender Law Center, which now displays the Kaiser Permanente logo on its home page. It’s great to see it there.

More importantly, it’s great to see and be connected to the generation of clinicians who are practicing the medicine of inclusion :). Congratulations and thank you, Jennifer, Judy, Susanne, as well as Rebecca Goldfader for your mentorship and support of this population.
