This was my 4th Datapalooza, too. I remember the first one, and wrote about it, too, when it was called the community health data initiative: Unlocking the data together – HHS’ Community Health Data Initiative | Ted Eytan, MD.
We have come a long way, especially at Kaiser Permanente, when the announcement came, in 2013, that we now have an open API: InterchangeSM by Kaiser Permanente Unleashes the Power of Digital Health Through Open API | Kaiser Permanente News Center. That was just a gleam in our eye back then. For the next 36 hours or so, we’ll be working with the API at a special code-a-thon at the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health (@kptotalhealth)
