On SiriusXM Doctor Radio – Monday Jan 28

If you’re up über early on Monday, January 28, 2013, you’ll catch me on SiriusXM Doctor Radio (@NYUDocs), specifically the Rehabilitative Medicine show, talking (taking questions?) about patient internet usage, the pros and cons and how they can get the most out of online medical resources.

I’ll be live from the Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health (@kptotalhealth) around 6:30 am ET (like I said, über early). The show is rebroadcast Mondays 2 pm, Tuesdays 4 am, Sundays 9 pm ET, on SiriusXM Channel 81, however.

Call in number is 1-877-NYU-DOCS, email is [email protected] , Facebook page is SiriusXMDoctorRadio.

This is a follow up on the recent (excellent) Health Online 2013 | Pew Research Center’s Internet & American Life Project produced by @SusannahFox and @PewInternet and related stories where I have been recently quoted (see: 35% of Americans ask Dr. Google for medical diagnoses (and 70% ask real Dr. first, unchanged since 2002) | Ted Eytan, MD).

All of that said, I am still going to review the report again, and useful data from experience at Kaiser Permanente before tomorrow. And once again be grateful that we have a consistent, reliable source for this information. Pew Internet & American Life Project was way ahead of its time when it started, now it’s just solidly amazing :).
