The third Walk With a Doc event is now scheduled – December 19, 2012, at 10:00 am, leaving from The Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health, arriving at Stanton Park, where we’ll meet Robert Zarr, MD, MPH, who’s the champion for DC Park Prescriptions.

Robert is a practicing pediatrician and also the immediate Past President of the DC Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics. He’s taken me through the park rating process informally (and he can walk faster than me), and he’ll take us through it more formally this time (See: “This park is nearly ideal” – A walk to rate, celebrate, and prescribe parks, in Washington, DC, USA | Ted Eytan, MD). You can link to an online Park Prescription Rating Tool here, as well as a printable tool here. I’ll bring copies of the printable tool.

Our goal is to connect the health care community to innovation, and each other, and to walk (of course). You can view photos and information about our past walks here
