Photo Friday: Any meeting can become a walking meeting

As posted on Kaiser Permanente Center for Total Health (@kptotalhealth) blog this week, this is a photograph of leaders of the Care Connectivity Consortium, who were in Washington, DC for one of their meetings. You can read more about the CCC here.

As part of our hosting of the meeting, we asked if they would be interested in turning one of their breaks into a walk with a doc break, and they agreed. I planned a short walk around some historical sites close to the Center, however, it was a trip to the US Supreme Court down the street that won out. Great walk. Beautiful day. Pre-frontal cortices primed (See: Now Reading: Walking not only rearranges your neurochemistry (I knew it), it grows your brain | Ted Eytan, MD )for more trailblazing in health information exchange on behalf of our patients.

I learned, again, of the value of integrating walking into work. It’s so easy to do and all you have to do is ask.
