This week’s photograph was taken at the 25th anniversary of an annual event held in the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC, called “Valentine’s is a Drag”. “Cheyenne” is pictured in the photograph above. The event was a fundraiser for Team DC’s Collegiate Scholarship Fund. I learned in writing this post that the name Adams Morgan is derived from two formerly segregated elementary schools, which fits this part of Washington as a (now) integrated, multicultural, thriving part of our city.
Promoting health, and education, and diversity, in Washington, DC, is the perfect Photo Friday, enjoy.
