Our Generation Has the Power to End It #WAD11

I chose the photo below to adorn my Twitter profile today. It’s from December, 2007, a time when you couldn’t find a red ribbon on the White House, only on the facade of a local community health center specializing in HIV/AIDS care and lesbian, gay bisexual and transgender care in the Dupont/Logan Circle neighborhood in Washington, DC.

Times have changed (as have the quality of our cameras) (see: Photo Friday: White House Ribbon). They have changed in terms of how we think about this epidemic, and more importantly, in terms of how we treat the population first affected by it. Check out this video – it’s all related. – Love always wins.
