Photo Friday: Teach in, Occupy DC

I stopped by to see the tent city erected at McPherson Square (whose Wikipedia page now marks this movement as a significant point in its history already), just steps away from the White House, to find a whole community set up, including a people’s library, soup kitchen, and one getting its own wireless network soon.

This image is of a “teach-in and discussion on social movements during the Great Depression era, focusing on dynamics within and among different movements, as well as those between social movements and politicians.”

More photos of the tent city below, live streams, etc, are available at http://occupydc.org
