Benioff monitors worker communications | ZDNet UK – This story caught my eye because it is referring to Marc Benioff, the CEO of Salesforce.com, that has recently rolled out Chatter, an internal social networking application.
There’s a key difference between monitoring what employees voluntarily post on an internal social network and what they write in e-mails to each other (understanding that both forms of communication can be monitored by the employer). In my own experience I have learned an incredible amount of helpful information about what people are applying their talent to in the use of an internal social network.
