- Continuous Internet Self Reporting Versus Office Monitoring of Blood Pressure for Reducing Cardiovascular Disease Risk – A new study of the use of telemedicine to monitor patient health through patient-provider communication on the Internet showed that patients who performed frequent at-home blood pressure monitoring coupled with an Internet-based telemedicine system achieved significantly lower blood pressure measures, on average, compared with patients who made periodic office visits only.
